BASR Bulletin carries notices of conferences, publications and other announcements that members wish to provide to colleagues. This page is intended as an interim measure rather than a replacement. Members should email the secretary to request consideration of inclusion here, copying the information to the Bulletin Editors. * * * January 2012 The Religious Studies Project BASR is pleased to support The Religious Studies Project, a new website and podcasting project launched in January 2012 by some of our members. The RSP has been launched to help disseminate contemporary issues in RS to a wider audience and provide a resource for undergraduate students of RS, their teachers, and interested members of the public. It aims to provide engaging, concise and reliable accounts of the most important concepts, traditions, scholars and methodologies in the contemporary study of religion, without pushing a religious or nonreligious agenda or resorting to presenting “fact files” about “World Religions”. It is intended that the RSP will complement (and, indeed, promote) the limited number of other resources out there which attempt to present social scientific research on religion, but which can feel inaccessible due to their length and style. The RSP launched on 16 January 2012 with the initial run of interviews covering topics as from “Animism” and “Psychological Approaches to the Study of Religion” to “Religion and Sexuality” and “Invented Religions”. Unless otherwise stated, all RSP material is disseminated under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License and can be distributed and utilised freely, provided full citation is given. Please disseminate and use this information as you see fit, and encourage students and friends to have a look (and listen). If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the editors (David G. Robertson & Christopher R. Cotter) on editors_at_religiousstudiesproject.com.
